STANDARD is the basic film developer in the SPRINT B&W processing system. All solutions for this process are in liquid concentrate form.
One liter of STANDARD concentrate will make 10 liters of working solution.
QUICK SILVER gives B&W print tones a distinctive neutral color which does not vary from highlight to shadow nor with development time (unlike metol-hydroquinone solutions). QUICK SILVER gives warm-tone papers a more neutral color than other developers.
One liter of QUICK SILVER concentrate makes 10 liters of working solution.
BLOCK is the basic stop bath for all SPRINT™ SYSTEMS processes. If you are using Record Speed Fixer with Record Alum Hardening Converter, always use BLOCK Stop Bath before fixing so as to provide the correct acid value.
One liter of BLOCK Stop Bath concentrate will make 10 liters of working solution.
RECORD is the basic fixer for all SPRINT SYSTEMS processes. RECORD works quickly with a favorable pH to fix prints before thiosulfate absorption can reach damaging levels, and promotes thorough washing for permanence.
One liter of concentrate will make 10 liters of print fixer or 5 liters of film fixer. See how to mix directions for each application below.
END RUN Wetting Agent & Stabilizer is a unique final step solution for all film and print processes. As a wetting agent, in lubricates to reduce scratching when wet, and promotes even drying without water spots or streaks.
Films and prints absorb contaminants in processing which can lead to deterioration unless completely removed. Water will not efficiently wash alum-hardened prints or films, and extended washing with water can stain prints. ARCHIVE Fixer Remover swiftly and thoroughly removes all types of contamination, including thiosulfate and related compounds, microbiotic and mineral deposits from the water supply, airborne microbes, and hydroquinone (used in the manufacture of resin-coated, stabilization, and gallery-type papers).
Unhardened emulsions are easily scratched when wet, and absorb moisture when dry. Adding RECORD Alum Hardening Converter to a fixer solution is one method of toughening emulsions to make them more resistant to abrasion and water absorption. If used correctly, it will increase archival permanence by protecting emulsions.
